TracBox

Real-Time ADC and GPS Data

TracBox has an integrated 4 channel ADC and GPS to provide GPS location and input voltage tracking and visualisation via an integrated RESTful API. The API permits data from the device to be integrated into a 3rd party data monitoring system. Legacy IMS compatibility is included out of the box and over time will come to include all data fields from the TracBox API.

Sensor Data

TracBox has 3 configurable 12-bit ADC channels (channels 1-3), capable of reading DC voltages up to 100V. Channel 0 will always display the voltage on the TracBox’s positive voltage input pin and is not configurable. The onboard ADC allows for the TracBox to be interfaced with many different analog sensors and systems that provide a linear DC output.

Mounting Options

The small form factor of the TracBox allows it to be installed in spaces where traditional GPS tracking/hardware sensor devices can’t be installed. TracBox is designed to be mounted on the common hardware DIN rail and removeable screw down tabs are also provided. The unit measures a tiny 90x75x25mm. A minimum of a two-wire connection of common ground, and a DC positive voltage source between 5V and 100V. Damage may occur if the input voltage is exceeded!

Standard Inclusions

Our hardware features a Quectel L96 GPS receiver with 33 channels and four ADC inputs. It supports 100Mb Ethernet, DHCP or static IPv4, and operates within a voltage range of 5-100V DC. The unit comes with a DIN-mountable case, removable screw-down tabs, and status LEDs. It includes internal and external GPS antennas, IMS support, and a Web UI for firmware updates.

Support For Integrators

TracBox has an inbuilt API that allows other systems to access TracBox data such as ADC voltages and GPS/location information.

OBDBox

Real-Time Vehicle Telemetry & Location

The OBDBox provides the ability to read vehicle telemetry data through the On-Board Diagnostic Port II (OBDII) of almost all light and commercial vehicles. The unit also contains an LTE modem and GPS to provide real-time telemetry and tracking through FTP’s IMS platform.

Vehicle & OBD Data

Connect the OBDBox to the vehicle’s OBD port to access a range of data from the ECU, including vehicle speed, engine RPM, coolant temperature, throttle position, engine load, fuel rail pressure, fuel rate, O2 sensor voltage, fuel tank level, battery voltage, GPS location, intake air temperature, timing advance, air/fuel ratio, engine oil temperature, and commanded AFR.

Driver Behaviour Monitoring

Monitor various driving conditions, including rough braking, harsh driving, lack of warmup, long idling, fatigued driving, rough terrain, and high RPM. Crash detection is also available.

Applications

The OBDBox integrates with a vehicle’s OBD port to support various applications, including fleet management, insurance and rental services, driver behavior monitoring, mileage tracking, vehicle tracking, safety and security, driver profiling, and vehicle profiling.

Mounting Options

The small form factor of the OBDBox allows it to be installed directly into the vehicles OBD port without any special harnesses or wiring. Extension cables and Y cables are available to allow the user to move the OBDBox to a more suitable location if needed.

Support For Integrators

IMS allows for third-party applications to integrate OBDBox data through the IMS Application Programming Interface (API). Any data that the OBDBox transmits is available through the IMS platform.
